About Us

To say that we love dogs is an understatement.  We are a blended dog family.  When I met my boyfriend Rob 2 ½ years ago, he had two dogs, a miniature daschaund and a Yorkie Chihuahua. I had three, two Bichon Frise’s and my Vizsla puppy.  At times it is a bit chaotic, like every time the doorbell rings!  But they are ALL a part of the family including joining us on family vacations!

Karen – I grew up in Oregon and moved to Arizona in 1988.  I was blessed that my parents had enough acreage for us to have horses, cows, cats, chickens, ducks and dogs.   I have been around animals my whole life.  But I have a particular fondness for dogs.  There is not one dog that I don’t want to meet!  I love them all. 

I have worked for Benson Systems for over 20 years.  I have twin sons who will graduate high school this year (2018) and then they bill both be off to college.  I have family here, Montana, California, Alaska, Oklahoma and Texas.

Rob – Grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Arizona in Junior High.  He went into the Navy after graduating high school where he got to travel the world as a SAR (Search and Rescue) for several years.  Rob has three daughters in their early 20’s that are all working while attending college.  Upon leaving the Navy, he formed a general contracting company with his Dad.  Currently he is a Sergeant for a local agency and is also on the agency’s SWAT team.

JD and Hunter – Over the past years, they have had a lot of different pets – a snake, a rat, bunnies, newts, beta fish, a coral tank with salt water fish, cats and dogs.  We had to find homes for the cats and bunnies once we found out that JD was allergic to them.    

This allergy led us to the Bichon Frise breed and Jack Frost and Lacey Jane.  In 2014, we were on a search for another dog and made the conscious decision to get one that did not need to go the groomer.  While on summer vacation in Alaska, I happened to meet a lady who was walking a Vizsla.  Needless to say the rest is history.  I fell in love with the breed right then and there.  

Cassy, Kaitlyn and Bailey – When growing up, they were surrounded by animals.  A steer named Cookie and their miniature daschaund, Daisy, had two litters of puppies.   Now that they are out on their own, Cassy has cat named, Dexter.   Kaitlyn has two turtles, Sheldon and Franklin, Bailey has a Queensland Healer named Bella and I can’t forget Charlie, the family dog.
